Saurabh Gombar

Biography
Saurabh Gombar, MD, PhD, is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Atropos Health and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine. A physician-scientist specializing in clinical pathology and biomedical informatics, he focuses on translating real-world patient data into actionable evidence for clinical decision-making. Atropos Health grew out of Stanford's Green Button initiative, which enables clinicians to rapidly analyze de-identified patient records to address clinical questions when conventional research provides limited guidance. Dr. Gombar earned his MD and PhD in Systems and Computational Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his clinical pathology residency at Stanford. His work spans clinical informatics, genomic research, and scalable real-world evidence generation, with an emphasis on closing evidence gaps and advancing personalized care.
