Biography
Dr. Popat is Chief Clinical Officer of Sprinter Health. He is inspired by the ways care can be brought to the home, while delivering better clinical outcomes for patients. He believes that through improved diagnosis and treatment that it is possible to save dollars downstream. Health system, diagnostic and device companies can similarly speed adoption of life-saving tests, screen patients for conditions based on risk factors, and close quality gaps. Dr. Popat is also Chief Executive Officer of Marin Community Clinics, the largest FQHC in Marin County. He serves on many Boards, including for Partnership Health Plan of California and Redwood Community Health Coalition, and previously, for the American Cancer Society. Dr. Popat is a Board-Certified Family Physician with a Doctor of Medicine and a Masters of Public Health from Tufts University in Boston. He completed Family Medicine training at the Stanford University-O’Connor Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.
