Biography
Dr. Katherine Andriole is a leading expert in medical imaging informatics and artificial intelligence, with a career spanning over three decades in radiology. At the MGB AI Office, she focuses on integrating AI technologies into clinical practice to enhance medical imaging workflows. A pioneer in designing and implementing Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Dr. Andriole's research has transformed how digital imaging data is stored, shared, and utilized. She is also deeply involved in educating the next generation of radiologists, ensuring they are prepared to incorporate AI and machine learning into their practice. Dr. Andriole holds leadership roles with prominent radiological societies, including RSNA and SIIM, and has received multiple awards, such as the RSNA Gold Medal, RSNA Honored Educator Award, the SIIM Gold Medal, and the RADxx Trailblazer Award for leadership in imaging informatics.
