Biography
David Miyamoto is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School, an attending radiation oncologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital, an Investigator in the Krantz Family Center for Cancer Research, and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Dr. Miyamoto received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Harvard College, MD from Harvard Medical School, and PhD in Cell Biology from Harvard University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Brigham Women's Hospital and his residency in the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program. Dr. Miyamoto is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in genitourinary malignancies who sees patients in the Bertucci Center for Genitourinary Cancers at the Mass General Cancer Center and the Department of Radiation Oncology. His research efforts focus on the development of novel biomarkers to guide prostate cancer and bladder cancer therapy and improve the individualized care of each patient. He has authored more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals including Science, Cell, Lancet Oncology, and Cancer Discovery. His research has been supported by the National Cancer Institute, US Department of Defense, Prostate Cancer Foundation, Radiation Oncology Institute, and the Dana FarberHarvard Cancer Center.
