Biography
Dr. David Agus is CEO of the Ellison Medical Institute, Professor of Medicine and Engineering at the University of Southern California, and Visiting Professor of Medicine at the University of Oxford. A medical oncologist and internationally recognized leader in global health and precision medicine, he leads a multidisciplinary team advancing innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence, to transform cancer care and preventive medicine through personalized, data-driven approaches.
Dr. Agus also holds leadership roles with the World Economic Forum, and co-chairs the Global Health Security Consortium. He is the author of four international and New York Times bestselling books and hosted the documentary series The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, featuring conversations with public figures about their personal health journeys. In 2017, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, in 2026, received the Latchkey Award from Johns Hopkins Medicine.
