Director, Olink
Biography
Ray Chen is a strategic life-science leader at Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, with extensive experience building collaborations with biopharmaceutical companies and applying high-throughput proteomics to drug discovery and translational research. Over more than 18 years in biotechnology, he has worked with global pharma and research organizations to design partnerships that connect emerging measurement technologies with clinically relevant biological questions. At Olink, his work centers on the company’s proximity extension assay platform and large-scale proteomic studies that can measure thousands of proteins across population cohorts and therapeutic programs. He has presented on the use of Olink data in initiatives such as the UK Biobank Pharma Proteomics Project, where deep protein measurements are paired with genetics and health outcomes to uncover biomarkers, disease mechanisms, and potential drug targets. Mr. Chen’s focus is on helping research teams translate proteomic scale into actionable biological insight, from early discovery and target validation through biomarker development and precision medicine.
