Biography
Dr. Cinar earned her medical degree and completed her residency in internal medicine at UC Irvine. She received her fellowship training in hematology and oncology at UCSF, where she was appointed as the chief fellow. In 2014, Dr. Cinar joined the faculty at Stanford Cancer Center as a gastrointestinal oncologist. She was also the Assistant Medical Director for Cancer Care Quality and Associate Director for Quality and Curriculum for the Oncology Fellowship Program at Stanford. In 2016, she was recruited back to UCSF to develop the Quality and Safety Program for the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC). During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Cinar led the response and mitigation strategies at HDFCCC. She serves as a faculty/coach for the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Training Program. She also leads the quality efforts for the UC Cancer Consortium, a consortium of the five University of California Comprehensive Cancer Centers. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the JCO Oncology Practice.
