Biography
Panteli Theocharous, Ph.D., is a senior therapeutics and clinical-development executive at Worldwide Clinical Trials with more than three decades of experience across biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies, and the CRO sector. His work spans clinical and translational development, medical strategy, and commercialization, with particular expertise in hematology, oncology, rare disease, and cell and gene therapy. At Worldwide, he has helped build strategic capabilities for complex therapeutic programs and has led initiatives designed to connect scientific rationale with efficient global clinical execution. Earlier in his career, he served in senior medical and development roles across biotechnology organizations, founded and chaired a cell and gene therapy institute within PPD, and served as chief executive of VectorGen. Dr. Theocharous earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Cancer Medicine from University College London Cancer Institute, holds an M.Sc. in Applied Clinical Hematology, and trained in medicinal biochemistry at King’s College London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.
