Biography
Linda C Giudice, MD, PhD is a biochemist and reproductive endocrinologist specializing clinically in endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovulatory disorders, and infertility. Her research, focuses on precision medicine and multiomics approaches to elucidating function and dysfunction of human endometrium in health and disease. She is the Director of the UCSF-Stanford Endometriosis Center for Discovery, Innovation, and Community engagement. Dr. Giudice has mentored 320 students, fellows and faculty, authored 350 peer-reviewed publications and is co-editor of 7 textbooks on womens health, endocrinology, environmental health, endometrium, and endometriosis. She has received numerous awards acknowledging her contributions to science, medicine, and mentoring. Dr. Giudice is past-President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, World Endometriosis Society, and the International Federation of Fertility Societies. She was elected as a member of the National Academy of Medicine in 2002

Endometriosis is a pelvic and systemic inflammatory disease affecting the ovary, oocytes, and endometrium. It is associated with infertility and poor pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriage, preterm-birth, pre-eclampsia, and placenta previa. This talk addresses endometriosis diagnosis using big data, impacts on fertility and pregnancy, and mitigation strategies to improve reproductive outcomes
