Speaker Profile
Biography
Dr. Guangai Xue specializes in ex-vivo and in-vivo CAR-T therapies, with a strong focus on upstream process development for lentiviral vectors and GMP manufacturing support. Bringing over 15 years of deep expertise in HIV-1 research, Dr. Xue offers comprehensive insight into viral vector engineering and safety design—including promoter selection, envelope optimization, and binder engineering for both ex-vivo and in-vivo platforms.
In this session, Dr. Xue will share practical insights into how vector engineering, lentiviral delivery, and manufacturing considerations collectively dictate which immune-cell populations can be successfully programmed in vivo and translated into clinical therapies. Beyond the lab, Dr. Xue actively fosters community connection as the leader of AstraZeneca’s internal tennis team, which connects over 240 members.
