Biography
Ali Moin is a machine learning research lead at Apple, with experience developing and leading AI efforts across wearable health, biosignal sensing, and foundation models. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley in 2019, where his research focused on machine learning for human physiology and wearable devices and resulted in a highly cited paper in Nature Electronics on adaptive on-device AI for physiological sensing. At Apple, he has led teams of researchers and engineers developing wearable AI technologies at consumer scale and has contributed to LLM post-training, AI safety, and responsible AI.
