Speaker Profile
Biography
Trey Ideker is a pioneer in systems biology and network medicine whose work integrates genomics, proteomics, imaging and computational modeling to understand cellular architecture and disease. His laboratory has developed foundational methods for mapping molecular networks, network biomarkers, genetic interaction mapping and deep-learning models of cell structure and function. He is a co-developer of Cytoscape, a widely used open-source platform for biological network analysis. His current research programs include the Cancer Cell Map Initiative, Bridge2AI Cell Maps for Artificial Intelligence and ARPA-H ADAPT, which is developing dynamic digital tumor models for precision oncology. His work has also contributed to epigenetic aging and approaches connecting molecular networks with patient subtypes, treatment response and drug resistance.
