Biography
Tim Campbell, M.D., Ph.D., is Vice President of Early Clinical Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he helps lead the company’s cell-therapy immune-reset portfolio. His work spans the clinical development of advanced immune therapies for hematologic malignancies and autoimmune disease, including autologous and allogeneic CAR T cells, emerging in vivo cell-therapy approaches, immune engagers, and strategies designed to restore durable immune tolerance. Dr. Campbell has played a role in the development of BCMA-directed CAR T therapy for multiple myeloma and now works on extending the biological power of cell therapy beyond cancer. A major focus is determining how deeply targeted immune-cell depletion and reconstitution can alter the course of severe autoimmune disease, while balancing efficacy, safety, manufacturability, and patient access. He operates at the interface of translational science and early clinical trials, integrating mechanistic biomarkers with clinical data to guide development decisions and to identify which immune-reset strategies have the strongest potential to deliver lasting benefit.
