Biography
As CEO of Acurion, Inc., Rick leads a seasoned and diverse leadership team, guiding thecompany through key regulatory milestones and into commercial growth. Rick brings a strong track record of scaling both nonprofit and for-profitorganizations.Prior to Acurion, Rick was a Partner at First Capital Accelerator, where he focused onfundraising, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting the growth of early -stage portfolio companies. From 2010 to 2024, he served as Senior Vice President andChief Business Officer at Biocom California. In this role, he was instrumental in drivingstatewide expansion, business development, and strategic partnerships, whileoverseeing the Biocom Purchasing Group. He also established Biocoms presence in LosAngeles and the Bay Area and served as the organizations first Executive Director inSan Diego. In his various roles at Biocom he has helped hundreds of small and mid-sizedlife science companies advance their missions.
