Biography
Richard Ting is a chemist with teaching experience in radiology, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to translational imaging and therapeutic development. As Chief Scientific Officer at Antelope Surgical, he has overseen the FDA IND clearance of a novel fluorescent and PET radio-emission therapy agent designed to integrate molecular targeting with advanced imaging. Recognizing that current intraoperative optical imaging technology is outdated, (indocyanine green was approved in 1959), he also leads the development of a proprietary imaging system built for modern analysis. The system includes a NumPy array based API to support AI driven workflows in quantitative imaging. Dr. Ting has guided scientific and regulatory strategy from preclinical development through first in human evaluation. Phase I and II clinical studies are currently ongoing, focusing on safety, imaging performance, and early signals of efficacy.

Computer vision in fluorescence-guided surgery
Infrared and X-ray extend medical vision beyond biological limits. Fluorescence imaging holds similar promise, but adoption has been constrained by outdated probes and imaging systems. Antelope Surgical overcomes these barriers with FDA IND-cleared agents and multispectral imaging that outputs NumPy-ready data for real-time, computer vision–guided surgery.
