Biography
Dr. Milani serves as the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer at Sutter Health, and previously as the Chief Transformation Officer at Ochsner Health where he led the innovation unit from 2010 - 2023. His background and research focus on population health, preventive medicine with a special interest in chronic disease, medical informatics and predictive analytics including artificial intelligence. He completed Internal Medicine training at the University of Florida, and fellowships in Critical Care Medicine (University of Florida), Preventive Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology (Harvard University Massachusetts General Hospital), and Cardiovascular Diseases (Ochsner Clinic Foundation). He has authored over 500 medical publications and serves as a frequent lecturer for healthcare systems and Fortune 500 companies and is a reviewer for several medical journals. In 2019, he was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the top innovators in the healthcare industry, and in 2024 by Beckers as one of the Chief Innovation Officers to Know.
