Dr. Melody Smiths research is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, with a particular focus on immune reconstitution and preventing graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). She explores innovative therapeutic strategies to enhance immune recovery and reduce post-transplantation complications. Dr. Smith earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Northwestern University.
