An EV Liquid Biopsy Platform for HCC and Beyond
Extracellular vesicles are an abundant liquid biopsy analyte that reflect the molecular profile of their parental tumor cells, enabling non-invasive disease assessment via affordable techniques like qPCR. Eximius' EV platform powers its FDA Breakthrough Device-Designated HCC blood test, as well as assays designed for diagnosis, MRD detection, and treatment response monitoring in other cancers.

Clinical Dx Showcase:
Eximius Diagnostics Corp

Eximius Diagnostics is a UCLA spinoff developing extracellular vesicle (EV)-based liquid biopsy tests for cancer detection and monitoring. Through a Phase-II SBIR, the NCI has supported the development of Eximius' lead product, an FDA Breakthrough Device-Designated blood test for hepatocellular carcinoma designed to replace ultrasound as the standard screening tool for at-risk liver patients.
