Biography
Mark C. Genovese, MD, is Senior Vice President, Immunology Development at Eli Lilly and Company, where he leads clinical development of Lilly’s mid- and late-stage immunology portfolio. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Inflammation Development at Gilead Sciences. Before entering industry, he was the James W. Raitt Professor of Medicine and Clinical Chief of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University. His research has focused on translational medicine and clinical trials for autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, followed by residency and rheumatology fellowship training at Stanford.
