Biography
Kristen M.J. Azar is a health services researcher and has worked with Sutter Health's research enterprise for over a decade. She has worked with vulnerable and socioeconomically diverse populations throughout her career. Her research is aimed at identifying and addressing health disparities and examining the impact of social determinants of health on chronic disease risk, prevention and treatment. Ms. Azar holds graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and Bloomberg School of Public Health and has diverse clinical experience as a public health and preventive cardiology nurse. She is a doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at UCSF.
