Biography
Kiana Aran develops bioelectronic platforms that integrate molecular biology with electronics for rapid diagnostics and precision gene-editing analysis. Her CRISPR-Chip work combines CRISPR systems with graphene-based electronics to detect genetic material and assess gene-editing performance. Her research spans multi-omics, targeted drug delivery, and aging. She co-founded Cardea Bio and CRISPR QC to translate biosensor and CRISPR analytics technologies into practical tools. Her work has received the Nature Research Award for Inspiring Women in Science and the Sony and Nature Award for Women in Technology.
