Biography
Donald Low, Ph.D., is a Senior Director in the Cell and Gene Therapy group at Genentech. With over 25 years of experience spanning process science, technology development, and research leadership, He has become an advocate for the strategic development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in biotechnology. At Genentech, he leads the Cell Therapy Bioinformatics and Data Science team, focusing on building cross-functional data strategies and establishing a "lab-in-the-loop" framework to accelerate scientific discovery and optimize manufacturing processes. Throughout his 15-year tenure at Genentech, his technical leadership has spanned small molecules, antibody-drug conjugates, and cell therapy portfolios. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
